Memebox K-Style Edition

Ive got quite a few Memeboxes coming in the mail over the next couple of weeks, so I'm trying to be diligent in getting everything tested and reviewed so the blog doesn't become anymore Meme-crazy than it already is! I find there are two types of Memebox blog posts: unboxings and reviews. I am always looking for the unboxings so I can see spoilers of boxes before I get them, but I personally like to at least try everything first so I can give a "first impression" kind of review on each product. This particular box, The K-Style box, was really fun because it was all makeup. Most of the Memeboxes I choose are skincare oriented, but Memebox asked if I'd like to review this one, and I'm so happy I said yes! I had a blast playing with all the makeup, and ended up really liking things that I never thought I would!

(product info card tells you more information and how to use each product!)
If you're new to Memebox, they are a website that sells Korean beauty products, but their most popular items are of course, the Memeboxes. These boxes are full of deluxe samples and full size Korean beauty products and are delivered to you all the way from Korea. Memebox has been kind enough to create a FAQs page that you can view HERE if you want more info on the boxes, as there are many to choose from!

This particular box is one of their special editions, which are curated around a specific theme.
The K-Style box cost $23 plus $6.99 shipping. Most of the time, unless it's a "Superbox", Memeboxes usually contain a mix between full size and deluxe size samples. In the case of the K-Style box, all 7 items are full size.

*This box is now sold out, but Memebox has released a K-Style 2 box that is still available if you're interested in these kinds of products. Check it out HERE before it sells out!*

1. Shara Shara: Feminine Single Blusher in "Soft Coral"
(Full Size Product: $7)
Probably the cutest blush in my collection, hands down. This blush is a subtle coral/peach tone and looks absolutely amazing on my pale skin. The swatch is pretty light as I did it with my finger, but it's amazing how buildable this blush is when you use a brush or the puff that it comes with. I don't think the puff is the best way to apply the blush as I don't feel like I have a lot of control, but it's OK to have if I want to pat a bit more color on while I'm out and about. I would suggest using a regular blush brush during initial application, though!

2. Bbia Pigment in "Mild"
(Full Size Product: $5)
I was a bit disappointed to see this shade, as the other two shades available were orange and pink shimmers. The bronzey tone that I received is pretty typical in my makeup collection. I've got pretty much every neutral shadow palette in the entire world. I'm also not a very big fan of loose shadow pigments. Aside from my personal taste, this is actually a lovely pigment. It has fantastic color payoff and tons of shimmer! As most pigments do, this has quite a bit of fallout if you're not careful when applying. I did a look last night just using the products from this box, and while I'm not usually a one-shadow look kind of girl, this pigment made my eyes looks really pretty. This is definitely something you can pat onto your lids and look immediately put-together with minimal effort. The best part? With just a bit of primer, this pigment stayed vibrant all day and night without wearing away.

3. Aweome: Aqua Radiance CC Cream
(Full Size Product: $29)
So the more Memeboxes I see, the more I realized BB creams are old news, and CC creams are in! This product is supposed to balance out skin tone and texture while maintaining a moisture/oil balance. Even though this has a foundation-like color at first, it actually blends out and matches your complexion. When I took this out of the box, I thought it was in a squeeze tube, but there is a very useful pump under the cap! I used this last night as well and seeing as how my skin is behaving lately, this worked very well. I think if I had acne issues I wouldn't have been so happy with it. It does even out the tone of my skin, which is great, but it definitely won't cover acne or severe redness. The other thing I did notice about this CC cream is that it left my skin a little shiny-looking. I did use a translucent setting powder on top, and that kept it in check for the day. I will definitely be using this on those days I just want a natural look on my skin.

 4. Secret Key: Sweet Glam Tint Glow in "Juicy Orange"
(Full Size Product: $24)
A lot of people have mentioned that the packaging of these look a lot like Dior. I have to agree, but I still think there's a really good product here- not just a Dior rip-off.
You could hear my groans from miles away when I saw I got the orange tint. The other choices were pink and purple, so of course I'd get the orange. It looks practically neon in the tube! However, this turned out to be my favorite product in the entire box! I actually plan on buying the other shades, and will definitely repurchase this one when it runs out. The orange shade somehow magically turns to a gorgeous pink when on the lips. The more you apply, the more vibrant the tint looks. It's super moisturizing and lasts for a while! Seriously it's the perfect lip product to give you a moisturized, sheer wash of color on the lips. Absolutely love this!

5. A'PIEU: Full of Nature Mascara
(Full Size Product: $3)
Memebox says this is full size. In my world, this is a deluxe sample size mascara. Regardless, this was the only product that wasn't doing it for me. I love A'PIEU usually, but this mascara is just way to natural-looking for my liking. Granted it's called "Full of Nature" so I should have expected a natural look. It does separate my lashes nicely and gives them a bit of volume, so I think it would be a great choice for someone looking for a bit of lash definition, but nothing too dramatic. Me? I'll be over here putting on my false lashes and 10 layers of mascara!

6. RiRe: Luxe Auto Gel Eyeliners in "Champagne" and "Choco Brown"
(Full Size Product: $14 ea)
These liners are everything. Seriously. They're waterproof and go on super smoothly. On top of that, they really do last! I rubbed the swatches on my hand pretty heavily, and they barely wore away. As you can see from the photos above, they didn't come very sharp, but there are little sharpeners in the bottom of the tube which sharpened them very easily. I used both these liners at the same time last night. I used the brown to tight line, as well as line my upper lid. I then used the champagne to line my water line and the inner corner of my eye. If you've been looking for a pearly liner that actually stays in your water line- this one is it. Both of these liners lasted me all day and night with very minimal fading. I put them on in the middle of the day, went out with my fiance and then spent the night at a bonfire. When I took my makeup off at 1am, they still looked really good. I'm obsessed with these, and definitely going to continue using them daily.

Overall Thoughts
While I don't usually get the makeup-heavy Memeboxes, I am so incredibly happy that I was able to get this one. I was pleasantly surprised by every product in this box except for the mascara. The lip tint and the liners are absolute home runs for me. The K-Style box cost $30 with shipping, and has a total value of $96. I'm so happy with this box that I went ahead and bought the K-Style 2 box. I really love that this box was curated so you can pretty much just use what comes in the box for a complete look. The only thing I had to bring in was a setting powder for the CC cream, and a lighter brown pencil for my brows. One of the best boxes I've received in a while from Memebox!

  1. I really like the fact that they sent out the products you need to make a whole look this time, as opposed to the random bits and pieces seen in some of the previous makeup boxes. Also, the colors they sent are actually really nice! I'm sort of sorry I missed out on this box. :)

    1. I totally agree. I'm not usually that impressed with the makeup-heavy boxes, but this one is hands-down the best one I've seen so far. That K-Style 2 box is SO mine now. I'm hoping it's just as good as this one and keeps the whole "complete look" theme. Fingers crossed!

  2. I have to say I have been really happy with the cc cream I have been using....I am loving trying out these products instead of the same old thing we get here in the states...the packaging is so clever & attractive...

  3. I got the purple lip sheen and I have to say, the orange one kind of looks better. I love orangey reds though...

  4. Great box, Rachel. I thought ( was hoping is more like it) that it was the one for sale now. Crikey. I was late to the Memebox party for sure.
Oh, wanted to let you know that I ordered the Hopegirl Summer Box you mentioned here on July 30. I used your link.. :)

    1. I got REALLY lucky getting this one because Memebox had asked me to review it. It was one of the ones I passed over on my endless box buying because I usually don't like their makeup-based boxes, but I'm seriously loving this one. I've been so many of the products regularly! I've been saving up my memepoints to get the K-Style 2 box and I'm crossing my fingers it'll be as good as this one!

That is awesome that you ordered the Hopegirl Summer box! It was SUCH a great deal! And thank you so much for using my link ya big sweetie! :D I actually have to pick a couple of those up as gifts for christmas, thank you for reminding me! :)

  5. Rachel, there is a great cosmetics offer right now. Superbox " Back To School" which is on sale for $17. I must have missed its release?
The items look to be mostly Hopegirl cosmetics, and looks a lot like what they sent you.

    1. I JUST got the e-mail about that! I have the polishes and both lipsticks already, but man $17 is a GREAT price for all that, considering those lipsticks are pretty much my favorites right now!!

  6. Not really a fan of this box. >.< I'd wanted to buy this so badly, but now, I'm okay! Thanks for revealing the contents though!

  7. I was so curious what was in this box. Awesome goodies ^^
