Memebox Korea's Most Wanted Review and Unboxing

As a Memebox "Influencer," I occasionally get surprise boxes to review courtesy of Memebox. They are usually boxes that have been out for a few weeks by the time I get them, but Memebox is psychic and they always send me boxes that I missed out on but wished I had received!
The most recent box I received is "Korea's Most Wanted." For this box, Memebox Global teamed up with their sister site, Memebox Korea to curate a box filled with the most coveted products from Korea.
(product info card tells you more information and how to use each product)
If you're new to Memebox, they are a website that sells Korean beauty products, but their most popular items are of course, the Memeboxes. These boxes are full of deluxe samples and full size Korean beauty products and are delivered to you all the way from Korea. Memebox has been kind enough to create a FAQs page that you can view HERE if you want more info on the boxes, as there are many to choose from!
This particular box is one of their superboxes, which are themed boxes that contain all full size products. Korea's Most Wanted has 6 full size items and cost $32 plus $6.99 shipping.
From Memebox:
Did you know that Memebox Global  has an older sister named Memebox Korea?
Both sisters were both born in Seoul, yes, but after Memebox Global's move to San Francisco, and a long time of separation, the sisters are finally doing something fun! This time, it’s a sister act!
Memebox Global and Memebox Korea are teaming up to bring you Korea’s Most Wanted Box, the best of the best in K-Beauty!
Also a global hub for K-beauty-holics and makeup addicts, Memebox Korea carries only the hottest and most up-to-date Korean trends, and she’s giving us everything from hair and body products to makeup and skin care products so that you can get a taste of real Korean beauty! This box retails at over $100, but you can get yours for only $32!

Hope Girl: Nail Travel Bling Bling Set
(Full Size Product: $14)
Hmm. Well...we're not off to the best start, are we? I highly, highly doubt that these Hope Girl nail polishes are on the want-list of Korea's fashionistas, or anyone for that matter. Honestly, I feel bad for Hope Girl. They have a decent product. Their cosmetics are drugstore quality and the packaging is relatively cute if you happen to like everything you own covered in leopard print. However, Memebox must own stock in Hope Girl products, because they squeeze one into almost every single box they come out with. This brand is not that popular or even that well known in Korea, so I find it highly unlikely that these actually belong in this box. My only guess is that maybe gradated polish is a popular trend in Korea, and that's why they were included? Who knows. I already own these polishes. More specifically: this is my 3rd box of them. I'll be passing these on to a friend since I have no want or need for 3 sets.

Blithe: Patting Water in "Energy Yellow Citrus and Honey"
(Full Size Product: $46)
As some of you may know, I frequent and moderate a website called makeuptalk.com, and the girls in the Memebox thread have been raving about this product for awhile now! I was never quite sure what it was or what was so special about it, so I'm excited to finally have my own bottle to play with!
This product is an alternative to a sheet mask, essentially. It removes dead skin cells, delivers moisture and nutrition to the skin, and renews balance for soft, moisturized skin. This particular kind is the Energy Yellow Citrus and Honey. It revitalizes and brightens the skin. I love me some brightening products, so this was the one I was hoping to get! The other options were Green Tea (oil/pore control) and Purple Berry (elasticity and firmness).
To use, fill a bowl or your sink 1/4 of the way with water and then pour in one cap full of the patting water and mix. Then you simply pat the water onto your face for about 30 seconds and let it absorb into your skin without rinsing. I have weird issues with adding things to water in a bowl or in a sink, (I feel like it's super dirty or something) so a few ladies shared that they add this patting water to a spray bottle with water and mist it on their face. You could also purchase the dry paper sheet masks and soak them in this product along with some water to make your own sheet masks. I think I'm going to try the spray-mist idea and see how it goes. I can imagine this stuff lasting a LONG time that way!

Shara Shara: Tinted Style Lip Gloss in "Fuchsia Pink" or "Peach Coral"
(Full Size Product: $11)
I know a lot of people aren't fans of Shara Shara products, but I've actually had good experiences with them so far. This is your standard tinted lip gloss, which are (and have been) pretty popular in the Korean cosmetics world. These work really well to create that famous gradated look on the lips, or it can be used all over the lip for a more vivid look. This tint is soft, creamy and feels nice on the lips, however I didn't find that it stained very well. It was definitely there, but the tint was so light that if the gloss wore away, I don't think the stain left behind would be very noticeable.
I honestly have no idea which shade I received. In the natural light it looks coral, but under certain light it looks more pink. If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say it's the Peach Coral. I usually don't like orange-toned shades but this one isn't horrendous, and will probably look nice when used sparingly.

Makeup Helper: Pact in 'Twinkle Crystal"
(Full Size Product: $23)
Here's a photo of me holding up my prized possession:
Seriously. I LOVE compacts. My mom used to give me her empty powder compacts to play with when I was younger, so maybe it comes from my childhood. There's something about opening up a compact and patting on powder that make me feel super fancy! This one is HUGE and gorgeous. There were 5 different designs I could have received, and while this one isn't the cutest or the prettiest design, it's sparkly, so it wins in my book.
This powder compact is enriched with lemon balm extracts and white flower complex and is designed with a gentle, natural formula. It has a delicate scent that is described as a "rose green floral", however I found it just smelled "clean."
The inside has a gigantic mirror (which I always love and appreciate!) and a soft cushion/sponge. There is a little plastic "door" on top of the powder so you don't have to rest the cushion directly on the product. The powder is very light, which is lucky for me because I'm pale as a ghost. I've only swatched this product on my arm so I can't say how well it works coverage wise, but I'm crazy-excited to try this as soon as possible. It claims to adhere to the skin and provide a long-lasting finish when it's dabbed on, so we'll see!
The best part about my pact is that it says, "Makeup Helper: Perpect Makeup Solution" on the front. PERPECT. Why this makes me laugh so hard, I have no idea, but I can't even type it without laughing!

Pure Skin: Lemon Blueberry Rejuvenating Overnight Mask
(Full Size Product: $46)
As if this box couldn't get any better, they go ahead and throw in a sleeping pack. A lemon-blueberry sleeping pack, to boot! When it comes to skincare, sleeping packs are relatively new to my routine, but also my favorite things to use. I never knew these beauties existed for the longest time until I got into Korean skincare a little over a year ago. If you're unfamiliar, sleeping packs are a gel or a cream that goes on top of all the rest of your skincare products as a final step in your nighttime routine. They hold in all the moisture and skincare goodies you've applied so your skin stays moisturized while you sleep.
This particular pack is enriched with organic superfood ingredients such as lemon water, blueberries and broccoli extracts. It creates a protective, moisturizing barrier over the outer layer of skin and locks in moisture while delivering nutrition deep into the skin.
While this sleeping pack is right up my alley and smells amazing, my mom has already claimed it, so I'll have to settle for the other 6-7 I have waiting to be used in my magical k-beauty storage closet!

Pure Skin: Ice Cooling and Soothing Patch x5
(Full Size Product: $18)
These are cooling and soothing bio cellulose patches that alleviate irritation and cool the skin. They contain water lily extracts, menthol and glacier water which help soothe and cool the skin while tea tree extracts and aloe soothe irritated skin. They adhere to the skin similarly to a eye gel patch. I'm not really into sun tanning, so my skin rarely is irritated or needs cooling, so I don't know when I will actually need these patches. I will probably pass these on to my mom as well!

Overall Thoughts
This box cost $39 shipped, and has a total value of $158. As always, the value is fantastic. I can't tell you how often I've wanted to make an order for K-Beauty products and hesitate because I'm so used to getting such an amazing deal from my Memeboxes!
Korea's Most Wanted wasn't an absolute slam dunk, but it's a really great box filled with a nice variety of products. I was thrown off by the brands included at first, because they weren't my idea of brands that would be considered "most wanted." Now that I'm looking at it, I think that the "most wanted" part was describing the TYPE of product, and not necessarily the brand. Cooling sheets, lip tints, patting water, powder compacts, sleeping packs etc, these things are all very "in" right now, so if that's what they were going for I'd say they did a great job with the curation. Overall, there's really only one product in this box that I had absolutely no interest in (the polishes) and the rest I'm either crazy-excited about, or happily sharing with family and friends!

  1. Love your comments on Hope girl. I've expressed similar sentiments as I've reviewed Memeboxes.

    1. Good sharing, Glossybox and Memebox are one of the Korea’s greatest beauty ongoing services, box way up about several to six cosmetic goods or biological samples and ship those to subscribers each month. Read more at:

  2. I think the gradient with glitter nails thing is actually popular right now, which is why they keep piling on those Hope Girl kits, but out of all the Hope Girl things I've tried those are definitely more on the "meh" side. Oh well! That compact is absolutely gorgeous.

    1. That's what I figured! Those damn Hope Girl polishes are going to be the death of me! The good thing is, I actually like most of the HG line, so it usually doesn't bother me when they're in a box. :)

  3. I LOVE this box and the Shara Shata lip tint is actually really solid. I got the pink and use it all the time! Stellar box all around!

    1. It's a really pretty tint; even the coral shade I got is pretty-looking on my lips and that's rare!

  4. You made me laugh out loud with the picture of the sheep and makeup helper compact. It's like me when I hold up my memebox. XD The sleeping pack looks really good.

    1. hahaha that's my face whenever I get a Memebox too! LOL ;)

  5. This is one of the boxes I wish I had gotten. Really want to try the Blithe Patting Water pack too since everyone on MUT has been raving about it. Loved you review, I seriously loled at the Makeup Helper section and woke up my pup (opps). They need to invest in a spell checker lol.

  6. Hope Girl aside, this was a great box. I love that compact! So pretty. I'm a huge fan of all things sparkly. #kbeautybloghop
