Foxbrim Youthful Radiance Eye Cream Review

One skincare product that has never really excited me is eye cream. I spent most of my 20's using little more than a makeup cleansing wipe and some moisturizer, so I clearly felt no need for any anti-aging skincare at all, never mind eye cream! Who needs that in their 20's right?
Well here I am at 29, and I can tell you that it's never too early to starting an anti-aging skincare routine. I was quite lucky: the damage I caused to my skin is minimal. I have some acne scars and redness, however the one place I'm already starting to see some aging is around my eyes. Fine lines that will someday be crows feet, dark circles slowly emerging over the years, the skin on my lids become a bit more loose...all I can think about is going back in time, slapping my 20-year-old self and leaving behind a few eye creams in the process.

My mom loves eye creams. Whenever she comes over to raid my stash of skincare, the first thing she says is, "Any eye creams?" I probably should mention my mother has younger looking eyes than I do, so that should have been a little hint that I should probably use them! Over the past year or so, I have been testing out different creams here and there to find one that actually works. I'm still on a quest to find an affordable, yet effective eye cream, so when I had the opportunity to try out the Foxbrim Youthful Radiance Eye Cream, I immediately went for it. Could this be the elusive eye cream of my dreams?

They source premium, all natural and organic ingredients and combine them with scientifically proven results to create an affordable and effective line of products. TheYouthful Radiance Eye cream is formulated to address dark circles, puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. It's proven to lessen swelling, add luminosity and smooth wrinkles around the eye area.
The formula is delicate and non-irritating. It absorbs quickly, yet leaves the skin feeling moisturized and refreshed. It is also cleared to be used on very sensitive skin due to the all-natural ingredients, as well as the lack of additives and fragrance.

Organic Herbal Infusion, Organic Aloe Vera, Jojoba Esters, Glycolic Acid, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carrageenan Gum, Vitis Vinifera (Grapeseed Oil), Green Tea Leaf Extract, Organic Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice), Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose Oil), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Wildcrafted Euphrasia Officinalis (Eyebright), Calophyllum Inophyllum (Tamanu Oil), Wildcrafted Mahonia Aquifolium, Helichrysum Italicum, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Organic Rosa Canina (Rosehip Seed Oil), Squalane, Lactic Acid, Isopropyl Palmitate (Palm Oil), Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium Hydroxide, Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10), Phytic Acid, Phospholipids, Tocopheryl (Antioxidant), Lecithin, Pyrus Malus (Apple), Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon), Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane), Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass), Butylene Glycol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, Sclerotium Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol.

Taking a look at the packaging, I noticed that the cream is dispensed through a pump, which is fine if it's a very sensitive pump and you can easily control the amount of product being dispensed. I find that I need very little when using something around my eyes, and this pump is a bit difficult to control in regards to how much product comes out. I did find that if I was careful, I was able to dispense enough product to use on both eyes with just a small pump from the tube.

The consistency is very rich and creamy, which is even more reason to use this sparingly. I have occasionally gotten little bumps around my eyes that are caused by using eye creams that are too thick or rich, so that was an immediate concern for me. To combat using too much, I dispensed the product on the back of my hand and then applied a little at a time to each eye.

According to the directions, this is not only safe to use morning and evening, but it can also be used as a facial moisturizer. I can't imagine using a .5 oz tube of eye cream as a moisturizer, although it's nice that it's an option, I suppose! I also noticed this product is made the USA and cruelty-free.

I applied this cream as directed: by dotting it sparingly around the eye area and then gently smoothing and patting it in with my ring finger until it was absorbed.

After using this eye cream for almost 2 weeks, here's what I've concluded:

Non Irritating/ Gentle on my Skin
Absorbs Quickly
Feels Refreshing
Eye Area Feels Deeply Moisturized
Puffiness Diminished
Dark Circles are Lightened Slightly, but Noticeably.

Packaging: Pump Dispenses too Much Product
Is a Bit too Thick in Consistency for my Oily Lids
No Noticeable Wrinkle Improvement

Clearly, the pros outweigh the cons, here. I found that this product does a fantastic job with moisturizing. The skin around my eyes feels very soft when I use this. The two big changes I noticed when using this product was that the bags under my eyes were much less noticeable, even after a few days of use. I tend to wake up with heavy bags under my eyes since I'm always up late writing blog posts (it's currently 2:30 AM as I write this!) and this product has definitely helped with that. I have also noticed that the dark circles under my eyes have lightened, although they haven't completed disappeared. I'm interested to continue trying this to see if they continue to get lighter.
As I mentioned earlier, I still dislike the packaging. If the pump was a bit more sensitive and I was able to control the flow of product a bit more, that would solve the issue. However as of right now, it's very difficult to not pump out too much. I don't like wasting product, so that's a pretty big con for me.
I also didn't notice any improvement in regards to the fine lines around my eyes. Granted, my lines are very light as it is, however I felt it was important to point out that this product did not have much of an effect in that regard.
Another thing I noticed over time, was that the formulation of this cream might be a bit too much for someone who have very oily lids, like myself. Dry skinned ladies rejoice, because I think this product would be a dream come true for you! If you do have oily lids, I would say this could still work just fine, but use it very sparingly.
Overall Thoughts
While this eye cream has it's pros and cons for sure, I am actually thoroughly impressed with the results I received in a short time. While I didn't see any fine line improvement, my major issues: puffiness and dark circles were both diminished significantly with just a few days of use. I would highly recommend this to people with dry skin, as it's deeply moisturizing and lasts through the whole day. I didn't see those dry patches I tend to get under my eyes by the end of the work day! However, people with oily lids should use this with a light hand, as it will only exacerbate the issue if over-applied.
All in all, I can confidently say that this product will work very well on puffy, swollen lids and dark circles, so if those are issues you struggle with, you might want to give this a try! And hey- what do you have to lose? They have a money-back guarantee!
