Memebox Princess Edition #1: Snow White Review and Unboxing

Oh, the Memebox Gods have smiled upon me, guys!
The Princess Edition Boxes were released quite some time ago, and while they all looked quite intriguing, I'm always a little weary of the vaguely-themed boxes. I knew that Snow White could be amazing, because I absolutely love whitening/brightening skincare, but I also thought that they could go somewhere totally different with it and filled it with pasty white BB creams, red lipsticks from brands I despise etc. I decided to skip on it, and when the spoilers were released, I immediately kicked myself for missing out. Fast-forward a short time later, and behold: The Snow White box was restocked! Of course, the restock fell on one of those times when I had no memepoints and no spending money. It evaded me again, and I figured I would have to hunt down some of the products myself.
I'm telling you- Memebox can sense my pain or something. Because the last box this happened with was the My Honey Box, and I magically received it for review. I thought Memebox was psychic back then, but now I'm convinced. When I found a mystery pink package on my porch and opened it to find the Snow White box, I knew Memebox must be like the Santa Claus of KBeauty. Always delivering review boxes that I've been lusting after!

If you're new to Memebox, they are a website that sells Korean beauty products, but their most popular items are of course, the Memeboxes. These boxes are full of deluxe samples and full size Korean beauty products and are delivered to you all the way from Korea. This particular box is one of their special edition boxes, which are based around a specific theme.
"Princes Edition #1: Snow White" cost $29 plus $6.99 shipping, and includes 6 products.

(Full Size Product: $29)
I got this product quite a long time ago in a Global Memebox, however it was in a smaller tube. I have become truly obsessed with it, and use it on my face regularly. I know a lot of people prefer tan skin, but I am quite the opposite! I already have pale skin naturally, and I like to keep it pale! Sometimes though, dark circles, redness around my nose and blotchy winter skin can make me look less-than-porcelain. This whitening lotion not only moisturizes, but it actually brightening and evens out my skin tone! Having this big ol' bottle that's probably twice the size of the one I just ran out of is like a dream come true! While it does lighten my skin tone maybe 1-2 shades, it doesn't make my skin look pasty white. I find that it lightens the redness on my face as well as the dark circles under my eyes, creating a more even-looking complexion. It has a very watery consistency, so it doesn't feel like a goopy lotion going on. It absorbs quickly, and hasn't given me any sort of irritation or breakouts, although it does have some acne-triggering ingredients for me. Even so, I am SO happy to have this!

(Full Size Product: $26)
This product is a combination of a toner, an essence, and a lotion all in one. It's enriched with vitamin nutrients and dragon's blood extracts (sap from the dragon tree, not a real dragon...I wish!) that work to instantly rejuvenate, brighten and firm the skin. This is applied with with a cotton pad over the face after cleansing.
I think this is a pretty cool product, although I feel like it has the consistency of a basic essence. While this might be great for someone who likes products that are multiple steps in 1, I prefer using a separate product for each step. The good news is, this will be a great essence to use during the day, so I can skip toner without feeling guilty! It has an almost masculine scent, but still fresh and clean. It's got a thick, liquidy consistency and absorbs very quickly into my skin. I'm digging it.

(Full Size Product: $26)
OK, the name of this scrub is "5 Seeds Apple Brightening Scrub." My first thought when I saw it was that it would smell like a bunch of delicious apples. Nope. Not even. It smells like someone melted down the world's entire stock of cough drops and put it into one jar. I mean...maybe I'm sensitive to menthol-like scents, but this thing is intense! Cough drop scent aside, it contains apple water, apricot, raspberry, walnut, rice and corn seed powders that all work to gently peel away dead skin and impurities while replenishing and brightening the complexion. It's supposed to be massaged onto a clean, wet face for 5 minutes, then washed off. I have tried this a few times and while I don't feel like it has brightened my skin much so far, I do think that my face feels softer and appears clean and fresh. The scent is a bit much for me, but I think it works well enough to ignore it...or at least try to!

Daltokki: Whitening Essence
(Full Size Product: $35)
I don't know whether to be absolutely terrified, or completely amused and delighted at the ridiculous bunny with a human face on this bottle of essence. I don't know who decided that this creep show would be a good mascot for their skincare line, but for some odd reason, it's so ridiculous-looking that it's actually working for me! I kind of want to buy more of their products and give them to friends to terrify and amuse them. Just look at that face!
Aside from hilarious mascots, this essence is actually pretty interesting. All you need is a drop of this mixed with a lotion, BB cream or sunscreen and it will help brighten and even out your skin tone on the face or the body. I found it has a liquidy texture and a very slight pink tint to it. I'm not sure if you absolutely have to mix this with another item, as I might just try using it on it's own to see how it works. Products made with only whitening in mind, tend to have not the best ingredients because they're not focused on skin care, but more the skin's appearance. I have to look into this stuff a bit more before I slather it on my face, but I'm interested to see if it whitens as well as my Oneday Whitener!

Morningtree: Revitalizing Whitening Deep Spot Silver Roller
(Full Size Product: $34)
I have seen these little roller ball products all over the place for years now, and I've never tried one! While they're usually made to house eye creams, this particular one can be used all over the body! It contains a high concentrate gel essence that soothes, cools, brightens and repairs darkened spots on the skin. The little roller balls help to cool and massage the cream into the skin. To use this, you have to give the tube a little squeeze, and the product will begin to seep out around the roller balls. Then simply roll/massage the cream over any dark spots you want to see diminished. You can also store this in the refrigerator so the metal balls are nice and cold, and then roll this over puffy eyes to relieve them as well as diminish dark circles. I've tried this for a few days under my eyes, and while I haven't seen a noticeable difference with my dark circles, I have definitely seen an improvement with the puffiness around my eyes. I have hooded lids and a tendency to not get enough sleep, so when I wake up in the morning my eyes can look really puffed up. This cream has definitely helped relieve that, so even if that's all I get out of it, it's a winner for me!

FACEFLUX: Anti-Wrinkle Revitalizing Cream
(Full Size Product: $38)
This is a moisturizing cream that is enriched with hyaluronic acid, lemon verbena extract, shea butter and portulaca extract. It works to brighten up the complexion, provide hydration and treat signs of fine lines and wrinkles. It has a rich, creamy consistency, however it absorbs into the skin quite nicely. This stuff is pretty expensive ($38 for a small tube) so I am hoping it works like magic! Since I don't have many wrinkles currently (thank goodness) I passed this on to my Mom who will absolutely report back if her wrinkle magically disappear! More than likely though, it's a nice moisturizing cream, especially for the colder months!

Overall Thoughts
This box cost $29 + $6.99 shipping, and has a total value of 188!
I truly couldn't be happier with this box! I think that it absolutely delivers on the theme- lots of brightening and whitening products! I am incredibly happy to have a full size of a product I love, as well as a bunch of new products to try out in my routine that will help with evening out my skin tone. I was always a little fearful of "whitening" products until I started using them, and I love how clear and bright my skin has looked since. I definitely recommend looking into some if you suffer from redness or blotchy skin. They've worked better for me than any other western treatment I've tried.
I purchased another similar box, "Brighten and Correct" and it should be shipping soon. I am crossing my fingers that it's as full of perfection as the Snow White box is! Maybe I'll even get another creepy bunny product, haha!
