Kloverbox July 2015 Review and Unboxing and Coupon!

I know it's creeping towards the end of the month when I see my Kloverbox in the mailbox. It's the last subscription box I get each month, and constantly reminds me how quickly the days are flying by. Since I work at a school, I'm essentially on Summer vacation right now. It's been nice reliving my youth and having my Summer's off to sit on the porch and sip iced coffees and just relax, although I've been nothing but busy lately! Regardless, The Summer is almost over and I'll soon be returning to school and be overrun with children hanging off of me and singing Frozen songs non-stop. Ahh delightful.
Anyway, the topic at hand: Kloverbox!
This month marks 1 Year since Kloverbox first launched, which is a huge accomplishment! In the incredibly competitive subscription box industry, it's not easy to keep up. I have seen more boxes come and go than you could possibly imagine. I've seen some start out great and then crash and burn. Kloverbox managed to start with the right ideas in mind and continue to grow and improve their boxes. Keeping a subscription consistent, yet always giving variety and value to the subscriber is what is most important, and Kloverbox has delivered time and time again. Congratulations and here's to another great year!
What is Kloverbox?
Kloverbox is a lifestyle subscription box that sends 4 or more natural and organic products for you to fall in love with each month. This isn't a beauty subscription. Kloverbox sends products from all categories: beauty, health, food and home products, so you can incorporate more natural products into every aspect of your life!

How Does It Work?
On the Kloverbox site, you can choose a 1, 3 or 6 month subscription. The one month and 3 month subscriptions automatically renew, which means you will be billed again once that cycle is over (monthly, or every 3 months.) The 6 month subscription is a one-time purchase; Meaning you will not be billed again once the 6 month subscription is over. This is a great option to gift to friends and family because you won't have to remember to cancel the subscription. The longer the subscription you choose, the more of a discount you get, which is also awesome!
Another really great thing about Kloverbox is that they usually include a coupon code on the information card for each product for that month. So if you really fall in love with something from your box, you'll be able to get more at a fantastic discount.

How Much?
A month-to-month subscription to Kloverbox is $25 per box.
3 month subscription is $71.25 ($23.75 per box)
6 month subscription is $135 ($22.50) per box.
Shipping is free and fast!

This month's box theme was "Cause For Celebration" And contains 4 full size products!

Previse Skincare: SunSheer SPF 30 Sunscreen Moisturizer ($36)
My skin is incredibly pale and even more sensitive. I load up on SPF whenever I think I'm going to be outside and heck- I put it on if I think I'm going to be near a window for too long! I go through it relatively quickly, so I was happy to have this fancy sunscreen show up! I was really surprised at the retail price of this SPF, but hey- maybe it's really amazing, who knows? This particular product has SPF 30 and blocks UVA/UVB radiation. It also includes multi-action antioxidants and licorice root which boosts hydration. I like the moisturizer/SPF combo because there's nothing more irritating than slapping on a moisturizer and then having to wait for it to absorb before putting on my SPF. This helps me skip a step during those hot days when I can barely drag myself out of the house, never mind do a full skincare routine! I found the formula to be really runny, but I later discovered it must have separated a bit; Once I shook it, the formula was much more workable. A little goes a long way, and it really is quite nice- not too thick and not too thin. I went out for coffee with an old friend yesterday and we sat outside for a couple of hours in direct sunlight. I had this on my face as well as on my arms, chest and shoulders. Came home sunburn free!

Flutterfly Scrubs: Sugar Scrub Skin Polish in "Mango Slice" ($8.95)
Kloverbox is known to work with up and coming Etsy stores, which I absolutely love. There are so many fantastic small businesses on Etsy that deserve more attention and more customers! This month, Flutterfly Scrubs was the featured store, and they have provided a full size sugar scrub. The info card states "assorted scents" so I'm assuming everyone got something different (vanilla pear, coconut cream, cheery bomb and creamsicle were the other options). The Mango Slice scent is literally the most mouthwatering thing I've ever sniffed. I literally started salivating after I opened the jar. It looks like a slushie and smells like the juiciest mango on the planet. This scrub is made from all vegan ingredients and is safe to use on your face or body, although I don't use abrasive scrubs on my face unless they're incredibly fine. This isn't super rough by any means, so I'm sure it would be fine for someone with skin that isn't as sensitive as mine is. Regardless, this is going directly in my shower because if I don't use it soon I'll probably end up eating it!

Praerie Botanicals: Tonka Body Balm ($20)
Something about the simple packaging of this body balm is just so chic to me! I really loved it the moment I took it out of the box. This is a "hydrating body balm" which made me think it was going to be thick like a body butter or hard like a lip balm, but it's actually a rich, creamy lotion consistency. It's made with Brazilian Tonka Bean oil, which acts as an optical brightener to reduce uneven skin tone and hides age spots. Very cool! It also absorbs UV light and leaves skin looking healthier and more radiant. Other ingredients include organic virgin coconut oil and plant butters that make this a great product to moisturize, soften and heal the skin. This stuff smells like Summer in a jar. It's hard to explain, but the closest thing to the scent would be a really warm vanilla with a hint of something else- something very light and summery. I can't get over how much I love this product. It's hard to make me excited about lotion, but seriously this stuff is fantastic!

Ellison's Organics: 3-Free Nail Lacquer in "Kaptivating Koral" ($12)
We received an Ellison's Organics top coat in a past Kloverbox, and it's still the only top coat I use! It's really fantastic and 3-Free (they also have 5-free options available), not to mention it helps my polish last for-EVER. I was really happy to see this company make a return, this time with a beautiful pinky/coral shade that was made exclusively for Kloverbox! How cool is that? It's described specifically as a 'metallic coral-pink hue'. I think this is an absolutely perfect shade to receive in the height of Summer. It's not too orange, not too pink, not too metallic and not too cream in regards to finish. It's really nice and I don't normally go for coral tones. I haven't used this yet since I just got my fingernails and toes done, but I will be toting this shade to my next pedicure for sure!
Overall Thoughts
Kloverbox costs $25 a month (or less with a longer subscription), and the July box had a total value of about $77. Even though there were only 4 products this month, each one was full size and of very nice quality. The value I receive with Kloverbox never fails to impress me, especially because they're not a huge company. I know that I'm not going to get the same old brands over and over, but a wide variety of natural products from all sorts of brands- many of which I've haven't yet heard of- which makes opening a Kloverbox such a fun experience. As someone who has been getting a wide variety of subscription boxes for many years, It's not common to consistently impress me as much as Kloverbox does. While I always like to see a lifestyle item of some sort (a candle, razor, coin purse etc) and this one is all beauty, I'm still pleased with this box because it fits the time of year so perfectly. I love that I can pamper my skin with a great sugar scrub, moisturize and protect it with the body balm and sunscreen, and top it all off with an on-trend pedicure! I really loved this month and I'm excited to see what they have in store for August, which will be the last "Summer" box of the year. Can't believe we're almost into Fall boxes! Woo!

If you want to sign up for Kloverbox (and why wouldn't you??) You can do that here!
