Kloverbox June 2015 Review and Unboxing and Coupon!

Kloverbox is definitely a subscription that stands out to me. I have been getting their boxes almost since their beginning, and I'm consistently surprised and interested with what they've included and which brands they've partnered with. I have never been wooed by a "natural/organic" subscription box before, although I have tried a few of them in the past, but what's interesting is that Kloverbox seems to make me forget they're that kind of box at all- and that's actually a good thing. My more recent "busy" lifestyle has made me come to terms with how much I had been spending on subscriptions (so. much. money.) and how much stuff I actually had. You'd be amazed if you took all your cosmetics and skincare products and dumped them all out on the floor. I can guarantee most of us have more than we could possibly use! Once I started realizing that, I decided to start cutting down on subscriptions that seemed redundant. Multiple makeup subscriptions, food subscriptions etc all went out the window. However the few that stayed in my lineup have something in common with Kloverbox: useful products, unique products, and products I will actually use.

I speak so well of Kloverbox because not only do I love to support small businesses, but Kloverbox also works with many small companies that are doing things right. Many companies that have been featured in Kloverbox ethically source their ingredients, use recycled packaging or recycled materials to make their products. Many of them donate proceeds to worthwhile charities. What's more: all the products you get in your Kloverbox are good for the environment, good for your skin or body, and all-around make you feel good about using them! My one small complaint as of lately: the boxes are arriving incredibly late in the month. I'm assuming this is because of the occasional hold up when a brand partner doesn't get the products sent out in time, but I would really love to see Kloverbox shipping mid-month. Especially for us bloggers who need to photograph, edit, test, write etc. Since I got this month's box on the 29th, I only had a small window to get it reviewed before the end of the month. I failed- but I sure did try!
The ever-sweet hand written thank-you note! I always love this personal touch!
What is Kloverbox?
Kloverbox is a lifestyle subscription box that sends 4 or more natural and organic products for you to fall in love with each month. This isn't a beauty subscription. Kloverbox sends products from all categories: beauty, health, food and home products, so you can incorporate more natural products into every aspect of your life!

How Does It Work?
On the Kloverbox site, you can choose a 1, 3 or 6 month subscription. The one month and 3 month subscriptions automatically renew, which means you will be billed again once that cycle is over (monthly, or every 3 months.) The 6 month subscription is a one-time purchase; Meaning you will not be billed again once the 6 month subscription is over. This is a great option to gift to friends and family because you won't have to remember to cancel the subscription. The longer the subscription you choose, the more of a discount you get, which is also awesome!
Another really great thing about Kloverbox is that they usually include a coupon code on the information card for each product for that month. So if you really fall in love with something from your box, you'll be able to get more at a fantastic discount.

How Much?
A month-to-month subscription to Kloverbox is $25 per box.
3 month subscription is $71.25 ($23.75 per box)
6 month subscription is $135 ($22.50) per box.
Shipping is free and fast!

This month's box theme was "Balance" And contains 4 full size products!
I don't normally take a "first look" photo because I like the products to be a surprise as you read my posts if you haven't yet seen what's inside, yet. However, when I opened this month's Kloverbox I immediately said, "OOH!" And I just had to show you what I first saw. Everything is full sized, and the colors of everything are so calming! Looks to be some great stuff in here!

Pacifica: Indian Coconut Nectar Body Butter ($15)
I was first introduced to Pacifica through their body butters. While I'm not a huge fan of the Pacifica makeup that has come out in recent years, I am absolutely obsessed with their other products. This particular scent happens to be one of my favorites. I love vanilla/coconut scents, and this one takes the cake. It's so warm and inviting- not to mention the perfect summer scent! I'm so excited to see a full size tube of this, because I can't tell you how many travel-sized tubes I've gone through over the years! Pacifica body butters are thick, but not overly-so, and the scent really lasts for quite awhile. I love slathering on this one in particular during warm weather because you'll catch whiffs of it all day long!

Deco Naturals: Prickly Pear + Aloe Clay mask ($26)
Deco Naturals has been featured in a past Kloverbox, so I was delighted to see another product from them this month! I love the sleek and simplistic packaging of their products- which are all housed in recyclable glass containers. Deco Naturals does not test on animals nor do they use ingredients that have been tested on animals. There's no artificial chemicals used in making their products, so what you get is "pure, healthy goodness."
This particular product is the Prickly Pear and Aloe clay mask. I believe you could also receive the Lemon and Sea Clay option as well. This one is a purifying and nourishing mask that uses prickly pear cacti to deliver b vitamins to the skin, and aloe vera and chamomile to soothe. It's a detoxifying treatment for the skin and is 100% natural. Sounds lovely!
Since this is a powder mask, you do have to do a little extra work to use it- but it's worth it, I'm sure! You simle as liquid to a small quantity of mask until a paste forms and then apply to the face and wait for it to dry- then rinse. Deco Naturals suggests using water, yogurt or honey as the "liquid" ingredient. I have yet to try this since I just got it a couple of days ago, but I feel like this mask would be perfect for a relaxing spa night!

Natalie Therese: Key Chain Pouch ($14)
Natalie Therese is a compay that is devoted to crafting stylish, eco-friendly, hand sewn bags. Here, subscribers have received this adorable coin pouch! It is made from cork fabric, which has such an interesting feel to it! I had no idea what cork fabric was, however I discovered it's made from shavings removed from the bark of the cork oak tree and then transformed into thin sheets to produce the fabric. What's interesting is that cork can be harvested from trees every 9 years without harming or killing the tree itself. Since the bark naturally regenerates, it makes cork a renewable resource that is also recyclable and biodegradable. Awesome!
I absolutely love this little pouch. It feels so soft and the aqua blue zipper makes for such a cute Summer Accessory. Since it has a key ring, it's great to throw on a lanyard or your keys so you can keep your money, lip balm and some bobby pins on hand if you want to travel light! Little pouches like this are awesome to have when I'm doing a lot of walking around and don't want to carry my giant purse!
Wash Beauty Co: Original Konjac Sponge ($14)
Konjac sponges are a bit of a trend lately, yet I have to say this is the biggest one I've ever seen! I do have a Konjac sponge already, but it's probably half the size of this one! I love that this one is so big because once you wet these sponges, they almost double in size! Since this is already the size of the palm of my hand, I'm excited to see how big it gets when I try it out!
Konjac sponges  are made with konjac root fibre, which is 100% free from impurities and pollutants, biodegradable, naturally sustainable and environmentally safe, non toxic, color and additive free, cruelty free and vegan. Konjac is also packed with minerals and antioxidants! These sponges are amazing for people with sensitive skin, as it helps gently wash and exfoliate, but feels incredibly soft and smooth on the skin.
To use, simply soak the sponge in water until it feels sort of jelly-like and then squeeze out the excess water. You can buff the sponge over the face in a circular motion with or without cleanser. Then simply rinse and squeeze out the water and hang dry.
What's great about these sponges is that once they're totally dry, the feel like a piece of styrofoam- no water continues to hang out inside it, so it's very sanitary. Even so, you should occasionally clean them by popping it in boiling water. These sponges can last up to 2 months and are relatively inexpensive, so they're a great option for someone on a budget or anyone looking to be more eco-friendly!
Overall Thoughts

Kloverbox costs $25 per month (or less with a longer subscription) and the June Box has a total value of $69!
While I normally expect to see more than 4 items in my Kloverboxes, very rarely do we get 4 substantial full-size products! I absolutely love the curation of this month's box. This feels like a box I could wrap up and gift to a friend, and those are my favorites. Not only can I treat myself to a pampering clay mask, but I can gently cleanse my skin with a soft, luxurious konjac sponge and then make my entire body smell like a tropical oasis with the Pacifica Body Butter!
Since I have a LOT of beauty/skincare products, I always adore the lifestyle products that subscriptions include. The Natalie Therese cork fabric pouch is incredibly unique and absolutely adorable. I've already got it in my purse with a few essentials tucked inside so I can grab it and go if need-be.
Overall, I'm incredibly happy with the June Kloverbox! It has a fantastic retail value, gift-worthy curation and a nice variety of products. I couldn't ask for anything better than that!

If you want to sign up for Kloverbox (and why wouldn't you??) You can do that here!

  1. This box is fantastic! At first I was like, awww, only four items? But those four items are really wonderful products. I'm loving my cork wallet so much. And that body butter makes me drool.

    1. That's how I usually am too when there are less than 5 items in a subscription box- but like you said, everything is full size AND multiple uses. Not to mention how genuinely nice each item is. I'd rather have quality over quantity in this case. I was super happy with this month!

    1. hahah yes I think we all have been getting Kloverbox for awhile now- it's just so nice!! :D I love the cork bag too, it's so stinkin cute and unique! And I'm not sure if other konjac sponges are normally this big, although the two that I've received in the past were about half the size of this one, so it's much bigger than I'm used to!
