Memebox: KBeauty Starter Kit! (Only $10 and will be back on Black Friday!!)

Okay guys, I've got a really fun holiday gift to show you: The Memebox Mini K-Beauty Starter Kit! I saw this go on sale and I didn't really pay attention to it because I was thinking, 'well I've got enough samples to last me a lifetime.' I didn't think how perfect this would be as a holiday gift, though- and even though they sold out insanely fast, I have a little tip for you:

Memebox confirmed to me that there will be a SMALL amount of these kits available for purchase during the Memebox Black Friday sales!

I'm telling you, for $10, this is a fanastic thing to gift to friends and family, or even as a little addition to a larger gift!

What it is:
For $10, Memebox has put together a really nice selection of foil packet and deluxe size Korean beauty samples all housed in this super cute box. It would be great for a beginner, but also an awesome stocking stuffer for an enthusiast!
(currently sold out, but will be back in stock in small numbers on black friday!)
I'm not going to go in depth with the product reviews here, but I just wanted to show you guys what comes in this box and a little description of each product.

Innisfree Green Tea Line
The deluxe samples you receive are the balancing lotion, balancing skin and balancing cream.
These samples are from the Innisfree line that is made for combination skin. It's to help balance the skin (control oil while also moisturizing). You also get 3 samples of the serum from this line, which are pictured below.

 Goodal Moisture Barrier Cream
I actually quite like the Goodal products that I've tried, although I do think this particular cream is incredibly rich and would be better suited for someone with dry skin- I have oily/combo so this probably wouldn't work well for me.

Botanic Farm Grain Cleansing Sherbet
There are two options that can be included in this mini kit, one of them being the famous Banila Co Clean It Zero, which I own many of already, so I was happy to get this one. This is similar to an oil cleanser, only it comes in a solid form. You essentially warm it with your fingers and it turns to an oil. You use this to remove makeup, dirt and oil as a first step in a skincare routine. Make sure to always follow up with a regular cleanser!
Benton Honest Cleansing Foam
I used to be a fan of Benton, but with all their issues over the years and the recent competition from other companies, I've lost almost all my interest in them. This cleanser receives pretty "meh" reviews in the sense that it's not bad, but nothing special either. The pH is also relatively high from what I hear. Not a terrible cleanser to include, but I won't be using this sample.

Skinfood Black Sugar Wash Off Mask
I own a few of the products from the black sugar line and I really enjoy them. They have a fresh lemon scent that I really love. I actually haven't tried this particular scrub yet but I tend to avoid using abrasive scrubs on my face, so this one will be for my body.
 Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum
These are the samples of the serum I mentioned above that go along with the rest of the Innisfree Green Tea products. While you don't get a deluxe sample of this one like the other products, at least there are 3 foil packs so you can get a feel for what you think of it!

Cosrx AHA Whitehead Power Liquid, BHA Blackhead Power Liquid and Snail Mucin Power Essence
While a lot of people in the blogging community rave over Cosrx products, I'm still kind of on the fence about them. They're pretty good, don't get me wrong, I just find there are lots of other products I prefer over them. Having said that, these are some good samples to include in a starter kit! It introduces the idea of using AHA's and BHA's regularly, and the Snail Mucin Essence will familiarize any newbie to getting used to smearing snail goo on their face! Because as over-used as it is- snail mucin is just awesome.
It's Skin Power 10 Effector Serums
Each of these serums is used to target a different issue, and I've been familiar with them for awhile as they were one of the first products put up in Memebox's US store before when they were still based out of Korea. I'm not going to go into too much detail about each one but here's what each is used for:

WH Effector with Arbutin- Helps whiten, brighten and even the skin tone while also featuring anti-aging properties.

PO Effector with Hottuynia Cordata- Designed to treat enlarged pores, preventing blackheads and controlling oil.

YE Effector with Yeast Extracts- (best seller from this line!) Improves skin texture and restores clarity by using ingredients to help hydrate and prevent aging.

SYN-AKE- This uses peptides that are similar to snake venom, which help firm the skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

VC Effector with Vitamin C- Used to brighten the skin and help prevent and eliminate dark spots, freckles and acne scars.
Overall Thoughts
I think this is a really fantastic variety of products to include in a little sample box like this! There is great brands included, and I think everything you would need to build a good skincare routine is here! Oil cleanser, regular cleanser, toner, AHA, BHA, essence, serum, moisturizer, cream and even a scrub. I think this only thing missing is a sheet or wash-off mask, although that could easily be added in by you to make a complete skincare routine gift!
As I mentioned earlier, these are currently sold out (they went like hot cakes) but they will be available during the Memebox Black Friday sales, so keep an eye out for them and scoop some up for the holidays! I know I'll be grabbing a few for my sisters and my mom!

ALSO: If you buy these for gifting, the description the Memebox site gives directions and descriptions for each product that you could easily print out and include with the box so the giftee knows how to use everything!
