Target Beauty Box October 2015 Review and Unboxing

So at this point, it's pretty safe to say I'm obsessed with Target Beauty Boxes. I think I've only skipped one since they started releasing them (I believe it was the one right before this one) and it was because it contained a lot of foils and didn't really have anything new or interesting included. Having said that, it's pretty rare for Target to release a ho-hum box, and by the look of the box I skipped, I think it was a L'Oreal sponsored release. But let us talk about the amazingness that was this box I'm about to show you. 9 products. Some full size, some foils, some deluxe samples. It's a jam-packed box and was more than worth the $10 cost with free shipping!

These Target Beauty Boxes are not like the Walmart Beauty Subscription. The simple explanation is that they're not a subscription at all. Target releases these boxes at random times- I haven't really sensed a pattern at all so they can pop up at any time. You buy these as they're released. You don't need to subscribe to anything. What's also great is that you can buy as many as you want. These are amazing for stocking stuffers or even as little bonus gifts for friends and family. The shipping is free, and you can also use your Target Red Card to get an extra 5% off!
This box is now sold out, however as I have mentioned in the past, I always post on the Harlot Beauty Facebook Page as soon as I find out that I new one is available- if you're missing these and are interested in getting the next one, feel free to like Harlot Beauty on facebook and look out for updates!
Target also includes a $3 off a $15 beauty purchase with each of these boxes. "Beauty" includes cosmetics, skincare and haircare. Since it is a Target store coupon, you can stack it with other manufacturer coupons as well as Target Cartwheel or any other great ways to save at Target (including the 5% off with the Target Red Card.) It's a good coupon to have since it's so general!
Revlon: ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick
So these Ultimate Suede lipsticks from Revlon have been around for quite a few years at this point, so I'm not sure why they're being featured now in a box like this. I actually reviewed these a LONG time ago. Back when I photographed everything in my bedroom with my super old and crappy cell phone camera. More specifically, back when no one read my blog and I was really just blogging for myself. Having said that- I really didn't like these lipsticks at all. I found the color payoff to be lacking a bit, and they also had a really weird feeling on my lips. When they're first applied they feel really nice, however once they start to settle they feel kind of cakey? I can't explain it, but I don't like it. I haven't tried this new shade yet, but I'm willing to put my past opinions aside and see if the formula has been updated at all. The shade I got is absolutely gorrrrgggeeeousss so I'm hoping it's better than I remember!

Covergirl: Intensify Me Eyeliner
This eyeliner is in the color "intense black" and has a smooth-gliding, fast drying formula. While it looks like a pencil, it's actually a liquid liner in a pen format. I'm really interested in trying this, because I really love my Maybelline Line Stiletto liquid liner and I'd love to find a comparable alternative in the drugstore!
Olly: Beauty Vitamins
I am a huge, crazed fan for the NeoCell beauty bursts, which are essentially skincare vitamins. These Olly vitamins are actually little round gummies with a sweet grapefruit flavor. They taste absolutely amazing. The contain biotin, vitamin C and R and Borage Oil. My NeoCell Beauty Bursts have hyaluronic acid and collagen in them, so these ones are a bit different in terms of ingredients, but they perform a similar purpose: to make your hair, skin and nails look beautiful. These tasted so good that I'm considering buying a full container and using them for a month to see how they compare to my Beauty Bursts. This company also offers a "subscription" for their vitamins at a discounted price so you always get them delivered to you on time!

S.W. Basics: Certified Organic Body Scrub
This is a foil packet sample, and I really wish it was a bit larger so I could really get a good "test" out of it. This body scrub is a gentle exfoliator that contains only 3 ingredients: organic oat flour, organic almond flour and sea salt. Not only will this not harm the environment, but it will also give your skin a treat without irritation. Now I do have to admit I looked at the ingredients and thought, "I could probably make a huge batch of this on my own with less money, right?" So while I probably wouldn't buy this myself- it's possible I'd buy the ingredients and whip up a batch!

RoC: Deep Wrinkle Night Cream
I was weirdly excited to see this product included in the box. This product retails at around $20 depending on where you buy it, so it's already worth double the cost of the entire box. It's a lightweight treatment that uses retinol to reduce the appearance of expression lines and deep wrinkles while also moisturizing the skin. It's supposed to be used all over the face as a wrinkle treatment- used alone or under your regular moisturizer. It's to be used before bed and claims that you will see results within 4 weeks, with the most noticeable results showing up after 12 weeks. Since I don't have a face full of deep wrinkles, I don't think I'll be using this all over my face since it's a small tube. I have been using it as more of a spot treatment on my crows feet and smile lines that are beginning to form and hope I can stave them off!
Goody: Ouchless Silicone Lined Elastics
It seems like Goody elastics are included a lot in these boxes. I'm not really complaining, though! I don't put my hair up very often, so I don't buy hair elastics. It's nice to have these on hand for the rare occasion that I do put my hair up. These ones have a silicone coating on the inside of the band and are made without metal so there are less snags and pulls when using them.

Acure: Moroccan Argan Oil + Stem Cell Triple Repair Shampoo and Conditioner
I have tried a few things from this brand and have really loved everything, so I'm happy to see this shampoo and conditioner! This set contains organic argan oil which is used to provide intense moisture to even the most damaged hair without feeling oily or weighing the hair down. It leaves your hair feeling soft, healthy and manageable.
Skinfix: Ultra Rich Body Butter
This is a super rich, dermatologist recommended body butter that is made with all natural ingredients, shea butter and sunflower oil. It's fragrance free and leaves even the driest skin moisturized and soft. I love a good body butter, especially in the winter! This one is actually a generously sized sample, too!
Hello: Fluoride Toothpaste in "Supermint"
So I've recently been super into "oral care" and I've been trying all sorts of toothpastes. I think I've found my favorite, but I'm always willing to try a new one! I've seen this brand in CVS and Target a few times and while it seems a little overpriced for what it is, I was drawn to the simplistic, yet bright and attractive packaging. Their mouthwashes are particularly cute! This toothpaste is dye free and sugar free. it's clinically proven to prevent cavities and strengthen enamel while polishing teeth and freshening breath. I think this is the perfect "travel size" toothpaste so I probably won't get around to trying this one right away, but travel toothpaste tubes are always necessary!
Overall Thoughts
Amazing! What else can I say? Honestly I can't think of a better deal for $10. 3 Full size products, only 2 foils and the rest were really nicely sized samples. I love the variety here- everything from skincare, to body care, haircare, oral care and cosmetics. Even some beauty vitamins! They really touched on every kind of "beauty" product in this box, I think, and that's pretty hard to do. I was so thrilled with this selection that I bought a second box for my best friend since they don't ship these to Alaska (boo!). Probably my favorite Target Beauty Box yet!

As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I always post an alert on my facebook page when a new Target Beauty Box is for sale, so if you want to be informed of when the next one is available, make sure to follow me over there!
