Snack Fever: Korean Snacks Delivered! September 2015 Review and Unboxing

Last month, I blindly subscribed to Snack Fever because I was obsessed with the idea of getting even more things from Korea than I already do: movies, tv shows, music and of course, beauty. South Korea has such an incredibly vibrant entertainment industry that is almost impossible to ignore, I wanted to know more about their food and snacks as well! Plus it's way more exciting to try things you've never seen/tried before than getting a bunch of western snacks you've noshed on dozens of times!
Last month, I opened each snack and took a picture of what it looked like so you could get a better idea of what the snack was, but I will openly admit there was no time to do so this month. I got the September box as I was walking out the door to work, so I quickly snapped photos and then piled the entire thing into my lunch bag to share with my coworkers. Needless to say, I wasn't able to snap any photos of the snacks themselves. I'm super sorry about that, but also it goes to show you how excited I get over this box!
The Deets
Snack Fever is a relatively new snack subscription based out of L.A. that sends you a box full of really unique and interesting Korean snacks. They don't stop at cookies and chips though- they send soups, ramyun, drinks, candy and more!

Box Options and Prices
Snack Fever offers 2 different sized boxes:

The Original Box ($20 or less)
10+ Snacks in Every Box (there were 14 this month!)
Mini Box ( $12 or less)
5+ Snacks in Every Box

Snack Fever also offers 3 and 6 month pre-paid subscription plans that are discounted, so the more you buy in advance, the more you save!

Shipping
Snack Fever offers free shipping to all 50 US States and Puerto Rico. Snack Fever will happily ship outside of these areas for an additional fee.

Snack Fever also includes a color photo info card that gives you a description of each snack so you're not going in totally blind...unless you want to! It's fun to do it that way sometimes!
 Cheese Ramyun
Last month, we received a veggie ramyun that was so amazingly delicious, I was even more excited to see cheese ramyun! Yummm. This particular ramyun comes with a soup seasoning packet, a dried veggie packet, and a bonus packet of cheese powder. You cook it as you normally would, and then add the cheese powder in last. I added some scallions and an egg when I ate it, and it was so. stinkin. delicious. I'm not huge on the "top ramen" and things like that, but I've been really enjoying the ones I've gotten in Snack Fever- it's like they're totally different from the ramen we have here in the US!
Country Corn
This was a fan favorite with my coworkers! The bag is huge and filled up almost to the very top with puffed corn chip-like triangles. The picture on the front is of a bowl of corn with butter on top, and to be absolutely honest, that is exactly what these taste like. It really tastes like you're eating corn on the cob slathered in butter. Everyone agreed that they were, "weird, addictive, and soooo good." Definitely a fun one!
 Homerun Ball Puffs
This was the first snack I opened because I was totally confused as to what the heck they were, and the package was pretty large. When I opened it up, I found little bouncey ball-sized pastry puffs. Inside them is a custard/cream. I'm personally not a fan of custard or vanilla cream fillings (even in oreos!) so I wasn't a huge fan of these. A few of my coworkers thought they tasted "stale" or "like air" however there were a few people who thought they were really good and they ate the entire container. The best comparison I can make is that they're like little bite-sized cream puffs.

Ggoma Bus Tayo
I'm assuming this Tayo the Bus is a Korean kids show. Maybe like a Thomas the Tank Engine? Regardless, this was a package of essentially butter cookies. If you've had the Peppridge Farm 'Chessmen' cookies, this is exactly the same thing, only round and with picture of buses printed on them instead of chess pieces. They were yummy, but nothing new or exciting, really.
Cham Bunggeo Bbang
This was probably my favorite snack in the box, and the one I regret taking a picture of the most! When taking this out of the wrapping, you see that it's a vanilla/white cake that is shaped like a fish. Inside the cake is a red-bean chocolate cream. It was so ridiculously good, guys. Like...I want 100 more of these immediately. It was sweet, but not overly so. Decadent, but not too dense or rich. Definitely a great thing for a sweet treat or dessert!
 Crispy Almond Cookie
These little cookies are thin and crispy, and while I normally like chewy cookies, I found these really satisfying for some reason. The flavor was similar to pecan sandies cookies, but with almonds.
Lotte Binch Biscuits
When I quickly looked at these, I thought they said 'Bitch' on them and I laughed so hard! Of course I was quickly let down when I realized it said "binch" instead. Lotte is a popular snack brand, so I'm pretty sure they'll be a regular in these boxes. These are round biscuits that have a thick round piece of chocolate on top. We have a few Western equivalents to these, but the chocolate on these was very creamy and unique. I'd probably buy these again if I see them at the Korean market!
Strawberry Milkis Drink
When I first saw this, I obviously assumed it was a strawberry milk drink. Weirdly enough, it's a strawberry soda! I unfortunately can't drink anything carbonated since I had weight loss surgery, but I passed this on to my roommate and he said it's really tasty!

Honey Butter Leaf Pie
I was perplexed as to what the heck a "leaf pie" could be, however when I opened it, I was relieved to see it's simply shaped like a leaf! I also wouldn't call this a "pie", but more like the flaky outside of a danish or a pastry dipped in a sweet glaze. It was a little bit on the dry side, but I actually really liked the flavor!

Congcongi Candy
Snack Fever seems to add a few little candies in each box, and this lollipop as well as a Tayo the Bus candy were included this month. I somehow lost the Tayo candy while I was taking pictures, though! This lollipop is nothing wild or crazy, but my fiance enjoyed it!
Overall Thoughts
Yet again, I'm super happy with my Snack Fever box! I feel like this month there were fewer snacks that I enjoyed overall, but there were some absolutely delicious snacks this time around as well! The Cham Bunggeo Bbang was soooo good- discovering it alone was more than worth the entire cost of the box or me- that's how much I loved it! I also really enjoyed the buttered corn chips and all the cookies! This box was a little heavy on the "sweet" stuff though, I noticed. I'm hoping to see more savory/salty snacks included in future boxes, but overall I'm thrilled with the selection and the fun that comes along with trying all these new goodies! When I first subscribed, I purchased a 3 month subscription, and October will be my last month- however I definitely plan on continuing to get these boxes! I've even decided to cancel my Love with Food box so I can keep getting this one! I just have so much fun with these snacks!

If you want to sign up for Snack Fever, I would love it if you'd use my referral link HERE.

I'm not sure if this coupon is still valid, but give it a shot! Use the code INSTAGRAM to save $2 off your first box!

Beauteque Mask Maven: September 2015 Review

There was a time when I would buy a bundle of sheet masks with every single order I made from a kbeauty site. I just couldn't resist their unique packaging, low prices, and wide variety! It got to the point where I couldn't fit any more sheet masks in the huge drawer that I was keeping them in- so I decided to cut back on the amount I was buying on a whim, and stick to Mask Maven for a while while I worked on using up what I already had. I like that for most people, the amount of masks you get each month are enough to carry you until your next bag arrives. While I used to use a sheet mask every single night, it was more so that I could use them up quickly- however I noticed that my skin didn't love that and I tended to get breakouts more often. I've cut back to using them 2-3 times a week at most, and always use one specific to my skins current issues. I'm still struggling with the overload of sheet masks, but I'm working through them slowly!
What is Mask Maven?
Mask Maven is a monthly subscription service that sends you 9-11 masks each month. These masks range from sheet masks, hand and foot masks, hair masks, wash-off masks and more, although it seems that it's usually sheet mask-heavy. You receive a different variety of masks each month.

Subscription Details and Pricing

You can subscribe Month-to-Month, or prepay for a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription. You are billed on the 20th of each month if you subscribe for the month-to-month option. If you subscribe after the 10th of the month, you will have to wait until the following month to receive your bag. Bags are shipped starting on the 20th of each month, although they have shipped earlier occasionally.

Month to Month: $16 per month
3 months: $16 per Month
 6 months: $15 per month
12 months: $14 per month

Shipping costs range from $3.95 to $9.95 depending on where you live. Beauteque currently ships Mask Maven to the following Areas: US, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore.
Face Q: Aloe Moisture Mask
This is a Taiwanese brand that has popped up a few times here and there as I already have a couple in my mask collection. Taiwanese brands like this one and MBD tend to make really great masks, so I'm always down to try more! This one is a pretty standard Aloe mask though. It'll soothe your skin if it's irritated, but I don't find aloe to be as moisturizing as other people do. Having said that, I do use Aloe masks the most in the Winter to help with chapped or red skin after being out in the cold!

Annies Way: Mint Cooling Mask
This is another Taiwanese brand that has been getting some buzz lately from kbeauty bloggers. I myself haven't tried anything from this brand yet, so I'm excited to finally get to! Subscribers were given a random mask, and mine is the Mint Cooling variety. I'm really hoping it smells like mint! Annie's Way also makes their mask with a thinner material to ensure that more essence absorbs into the skin, so that's neat-o. I'd be interested in picking up more of these if I like the fit and the saturation of this one!
Hanaka Hyaluronic Acid and Cactus Eye Patch
Eye gels and I are like peanut butter and jelly. I love them. I use them every single morning without fail, and over time, they have diminished my dark circles enough where I don't have to apply concealer anymore, and the puffiness has reduces to almost none at all. I buy the larger "jars" of eye gels though- otherwise the cost would be out of control to use them daily! The single eye patches like this one tend to be much more expensive to purchase regularly, but I still like to try them out! This pair helps relieve irritation while soothing fragile skin around the eye.

Hanaka Lip Patch in "Peach"
Ehhhh lip patches. I never turn away a lip patch, and I use every single one I've ever gotten in hopes of a miracle. I'm never really impressed by the results I get from them, though. My lips feel more moisturized for a short while, but not much else outside of that. They're still a fun thing to use every now and then, though! Subscribers received one of 3 scents- I got peach, which would have been my second choice, so I'm happy. I did use this last night and the results were as expected: the same as every other lip patch I've used. Bummer.
Baviphat Urban Dollkiss: Money Masks
Beauteque featured a wide variety of the Urban Dollkiss money masks this month, and since there are so many and they look quite similar, I thought I would write a quick description of each one rather than going into lots of rambling detail like I normally do.
There have been a lot of mixed feelings on these masks. Many people think that the fabric is too stiff and it doesn't stick to the face well, and others have said that there isn't enough essence and they don't stay moist for long enough. Honestly, I tried one for myself the other night, and while I don't think they're the best masks in the world or anything, I didn't think they were as awful as some people said they were. I have a silicone sheet mask cover that is placed on top of the mask to keep it from drying out too quickly, and if I use that, this stays wet for the 15-20 minute time frame that is necessary, so I don't have any complaints. It's possible the specific one I tried is a bit more soaked than the others? Who knows. Try them for yourself and see what you think!
Baviphat Urban Dollkiss Masks:
1. Swiss Franc Be Light Mask
This mask has several kinds of floral extracts which work together to brighten skin. It will also reduce the appearance of dark spots.

2. Korean Won Lifting Up Mask
Fight sagging skin and wrinkles while firming it with this mask. Four kinds of peptides and collagen work together to restore and keep skin firm and lively.

3. Japan Yen Revital Mask
Regenerate and revitalize your skin with this mask. It includes herbal extracts, aloe extracts, as well as althase rosea extract which helps soothe inflammation.

4. US Dollar Moistful Mask
Keep your skin hydrated and resilient with this mask's aloe and honey extracts. Snail secrete filtrate adds additional moisture and helps firm skin.

5. UK Pound Essential Mask
This mask has ginseng callus extracts which help increase elasticity and vitality while encouraging regeneraton abilities within the skin cells.

6. China RMB Clean Mask
Hyaluronic acid, fruit extracts, and vitamins work together to deep cleanse the skin and leave it moisturized.

7. Europe Euro Solution Mask
Relieve the skin from daily stress and revive it with this mask. Centella Asiatica Extract heals and helps promote collagen production.
Overall Thoughts
Mask Maven costs $16 per month (less if you pre-pay for a longer subscription) and the September bag contained 9 sheet masks, 1 lip mask and 1 pair of under eye gels, making each item cost under $2. (around $1.45)
I have some mixed feelings about this month's bag, honestly. I'm not sure what the final verdict is. On one hand, you might look at this bag and think there's not much variety, but in past months there have been times where they only included sheet masks. This time, they've included a lip and eye mask. I also like that they included two Taiwanese brands this month. The questionable items here are the money masks. I think it's a little too much, personally. Sure they're fun, but I really would have liked to see more variety here than 7 masks from the same brand and same line. Especially the fact that there was a decent amount of people who weren't happy with these masks the first time they were sent out, I wonder how many people are unhappy with this month's offerings.
Having said that, my personal opinion is good overall- while I'm not head-over-heels for the money masks, I will certainly use them. The other masks included this month are all quality and there's good variety, so I can't complain overall!

Beauteque Monthly BB Bag: September 2015 Review and Unboxing

The September BB bag showed up pretty late this month- I almost thought it wasn't coming at all! Luckily, my mailman dropped off a stack of packages this morning and there it was resting right on top of the pack! I was immediately excited because I saw the theme this month was "Soothing Spa." I could totally use a spa night, let me tell you! I've been so incredibly busy lately with working multiple jobs, blogging, and a variety of other daily life stresses- give me a good mask and some cucumber water and let me take a break!
As I mentioned above, the September Bag theme was "Soothing Spa," although I'm not entirely sure if the bag itself coincides with that theme...unless it's tacky 80's spa with fake palm trees painted on the walls? haha idk- I've never been a fan of the makeup bags that come with subscriptions like this one and Ipsy- I feel like they're wasteful and never really high enough quality for me to want to keep. I do tend to give them away at times, but this one is kind of ugly...I can't lie. Sorry, Beauteque!

Now that we've got the details out of the way, let's get onto the September Bag!

Modeling Pack Mixing Bowl & Spatula Set ($5)
Inner Kallia: Special Care Modeling Pack Mask in "Collagen" ($6)
This is definitely a good way to start off a spa-themed bag! What we have here is a mask pack complete with mixing bowl and spatula! If you're not familiar with this type of mask, it's essentially a powder that you mix with water and apply the face. Once it dries, it usually has a rubber-like consistency and is able to be peeled off the skin in one go. They're actually pretty fun and super relaxing! A few different varieties went out in the bags this month, and the one I received was Collagen. I can always use a moisturizing mask this time of year, so I'm down with collagen! I so already have a mixing bowl and spatula for sheet masks, so I'm passing this one on to a friend. Regardless, I think it was a very nice item to include in this type of bag!

The Saem: Mint Jungle Foot Cream ($12)
I admit I don't have a whole lot of experience with the Saem as a brand, but since SHINee are their spokespeople, I've suddenly become way more interested in their brand. Their marketing worked on me, I gotta admit! ;)
I mean...look at those perfect dewy faces!!

But anyway, this particular product isn't for the face, it's for the feet! I'm one of those weirdos that is obsessed with foot care products. I have heel patches, foot peeling/moisturizing masks, scrubs, creams, you name it! I especially love thick, moisturizing creams that contain mint because they're so soothing! This one has a really great scent that does have a mintiness to it, but it also has a light floral scent as well that mixes well. It contains Spearmint, apple mint, honey and peppermint extracts that help moisturize and revive tired feet. I gave this stuff a try tonight and it absorbs really nicely and does a great job instantly softening the feet. Already a big fan of this!

Aritaum: Aloe No Wash Cleansing Water ($22)
While I've heard of cleansing waters being a thing for awhile now, I only recently started using one for myself and I'm obsessed with them! I'm super lazy when it comes to cleansing- and while I have my favorite oil and cream cleansers, I most often use makeup remover and cleansing wipes to do the job. Lately I've been using a cleansing water that I've had laying around for a little while and it's made such a huge difference! Cleansing waters are also great to use in the morning- as doing a heavy-duty cleanse can strip away all the replenished healthy oils and goodness that your skin has restored while you slept. A cleansing water works to get rid of all the sweat and excess oil that showed up during your snooze, without going overboard.
Beauteque offered either this Aloe variety or a Green Tea scent from The Saem. I'll admit I would have preferred the Green Tea one, but I think Aloe is a pretty safe bet in regards to it not irritating my skin or causing breakouts etc. This is a massive bottle too, so I think this is a great value considering how little you need with each use!

Secret Key: Secret Kiss Holic Pigment Glitter ($8)
Well this is a peculiar one! While I will never turn away some sparkly, fun eye shadow, I'm not entirely sure that this kind of product fits with the "spa" theme of the bag. Color me confused, but we'll move on!
This is a highly pigmented loose shadow that has a really creamy texture. I'll say right now it's a pain in the butt to get out of the container. the opening is smaller than a pencil eraser, and if you shake it out into the lid, a LOT comes out. You need a steady hand and some patience to get the right amount. The shades vary from bag to bag, but I got this really beautiful pewter/brown shade. It's definitely something I would wear if I wanted a really dramatic, yet neutral-toned smokey eye. Perfect for a night out!

Aqua Gems: Herbal Soothing Cream ($18)
Switching gears again, we've come home from the night out wearing our sparkly eye shadow and we're back to the spa theme. This product is essentially a multi-use lotion that brightens, moisturizes and repairs the skin. You can use it on your face, or as a soothing lotion for irritated skin or dry hands. It has a mild botanical formula that includes chamomile and licorice extracts, witch hazel and cooling menthol. It seems like the perfect blend of products to soothe the skin! I can't find any information on this brand or this product online, so I do find the projected retail price of $18 a little nuts considering it's small size, but hey- it smells nice and feels nice on my skin, so I'll give it a go!
Overall Thoughts
The September BB Bag cost $24 (plus shipping) and has a total value of $71.
After comparing prices online, I would say the value of this bag is closer to around $50-$55, however that is still more than double what the subscription costs, so it's still a great value in my opinion!
Aside from the really random glitter bomb shadow, I think that the other products fit very well with the spa theme. I would have loves to see something else in here aside from the shadow- maybe a hand mask, or some sort of eye gel product? I'm not sure, but I couldn't help but feel there were loads of things that could have been here instead of the party-time shadows. Either way, I don't want my thoughts on that small misstep to take away from the rest of the bag- it really is quite nice! I think it was well curated and thought out in terms of product selection and theme, and I'm definitely pumped about the huge cleansing water and the fantastic foot cream!

Naturebox: September 2015 Review and Unboxing

I've been getting Naturebox for almost a year now, and they have become my go-to subscription for "work snacks." I work at an afterschool program so I don't have to go in until around 2, and I have some time to eat a quick lunch when I get there. But throughout the day I'm always looking for something to munch on, and I love that Naturebox gives large resealable bags of snacks. I can either break them up into smaller baggies, or just take the whole thing to work with me. I've also gotten my coworkers into Naturebox snacks as well since I have a tendency to share my food with everyone! This month, I decided to try all new snacks! I normally choose some repeat favorites that I just want more of, but they had a few new things and a few things I was interested in giving a shot- and I was pretty happy with most of them!

About NatureBox
Naturebox delivers a world of carefully sourced and nutritionist-approved foods right to your door. Each snack contains wholesome ingredients - with no artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors. Snacking has never been so deliciously fun and naturally easy.

How It Works
Naturebox has you choose a subscription plan from the following options:
Free Trial
This option is a small sampler box that contains 5 different snacks. It's free, however they have a $2 shipping charge on this box, and it rolls into a monthly subscription. So if you are interested in this option but do not want a subscription, make sure you cancel as soon as your box ships.

Monthly
You can also choose to pay month-to-month for your subscription, which is $19.95 per month.
There are also discounted rates for subscriptions that are paid in advance, so if you know you'll be subscribing for awhile, these are good routes to take.
Each box contains 5 snacks, and to my knowledge, an occasional "bonus snack" that Naturebox chooses and adds into your box.

Many Options
You can leave your box up to chance, which means NatureBox chooses all the snacks that will be in your box. You can also browse their snack library and add things to your "pantry." This will let Naturebox know which snacks you are interested in trying, and they will incorporate them into your box.

Add-Ons
You can also add extra snacks into your box. Each snack costs a different price to add on, however the more you add on, the less the snacks cost.

So now that we've got the basics out of the way, Let's take a look at what I got in my Naturebox, and what I thought of each snack!

Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookie Bites
I noticed these on the site for the first time last month, so I'm assuming they're relatively new! I am one of those people that tends to prefer salty/savory snacks, but when I'm in the mood for something sweet, it's almost always cookies! These looked like a great way to squash those cravings in a healthier way. These cookies are crunchy and bite sized, and have a good amount of chocolate chips in them. What I did notice is that they have a very obvious "wheat/grain" flavor to them, and aren't as sweet as your typical cookie would be. I did think these were pretty tasty, although I'm not sure if I would get them again.

Honey BBQ Crunch
I chose this snack because I wanted to have a savory trail-mix style snack on hand for work. This contains various nuts (cashews and peanuts) as well as mini pretzels and is flavored with a sweet honey BBQ. I didn't realize HOW sweet it was going to be though- and this turned from what I expected to be a more savory snack, to bordering on a little too sweet for my liking. It's pretty good, but I would say it taste more like a honey roasted peanut mix. You can't taste the BBQ flavor at all, which was a bummer. I did like it, but I passed it onto my roommate who was more than happy to polish it off for me. Another one that I thought was yummy, but it wasn't what I was looking for so I would probably pass on it in the future.

Sriracha Pop Pops
While I am a massive fan of the Naturebox Pop Pops in other varieties, I spent a long time avoiding these ones in particular. I was never really into spicy foods in general for a long time, although lately I've been testing my spicy food limits and trying more of them out. Since spices are good for you metabolism, I think it's probably a good idea I start getting used to them! These pop pops are spicy!! If you're sensitive to spice at all I would steer clear of these. They were a bit too much for me at first, but the taste was so good that I just had to keep eating them! They're really addictive!

Mini Cocoa Belgian Waffles
OK, so I cheated a little bit on this "all new snacks" box by getting these! The regular belgian waffles from Naturebox are one of my favorites, so I figured I'd have to try these too! I believe these are also a relatively new snack to their lineup. I found these to be pretty dang delicious! They differ a bit from the classic belgian waffles in that they're a bit thicker and more crumbly. They just have a slightly different consistency overall. The cocoa flavor is very subtle, but still there. I think I prefer the original/plain ones myself, but these are a good option if you're a chocolate lover!

Strawberry Lemonade Fruit Stars
I think these have been available through Naturebox for a while now, but since I have bad teeth and I don't normally crave fruit snacks, I decided to pass on them time and time again. My fiance loves fruit snacks though, so this time I decided to give them a shot. They actually might be my favorite thing in the box this month! The strawberry lemonade flavor is so delicious and vibrant- and the fruit snacks really taste like real fruit and not a bunch of added sugar and preservatives. The consistency is like that of one of those natural fruit rollups. I really enjoyed these- even though I originally got this snack for my fiance I ended up eating most of it by myself!
Overall Thoughts
I think my experiment of trying all totally new-to-me snacks was pretty successful! It's always surprising to me when I choose things that I'm unsure on and end up liking them way more than I anticipated! Sometimes it's not a good thing to play it safe with these snack subscriptions! I can't tell you how many things I ended up loving that I thought I would hate in my Graze boxes, so I think I'm going to start being a little more adventurous with Naturebox as well and try some of the less immediately-appealing snacks. While most of the ones I got this time around were all pretty good, I still haven't found one that blows me out of the water, so maybe I'll get lucky next month! :)

COUPONS and Deals!
If you're interested in trying Naturebox, you can do so two ways:

Free Trial
If you simply want to give this service a try and are interested in trying a few of their snacks, go for the Free Trial! You get 1 full size bag of snacks, and 4 trial-size bags. It doesn't cost anything, however you do have to pay $2 shipping. This trail does roll into a monthly plan though, so if you just want the one box, make sure to cancel before the next month!

Coupon Code
There are a wide variety of coupons constantly available for Naturebox. Some give you a percentage off, others will take $10 off etc. They are always changing though, so I'll link you to the retailmetnot page so you can pick which one works best for you!

Kloverbox September 2015 Review and Unboxing (Plus Coupon Code!)

I had a few reviews to quickly finish up before the end of September (can you believe it's already over??) but I had to move this month's Kloverbox to the top of the review pile. The moment I opened it, it was love at first sight! While most of you know by now how much I love Kloverbox, this month was particularly great in that it gave me literally everything I ask for in a subscription box: beauty, lifestyle, high overall value and (gasp) candles! Of course candles aren't a requirement to a successful subscription box, but I am always 10 times happier when I see one! Let's dig right into this month's box, because it was absolutely fantastic!
 What is Kloverbox?
Kloverbox is a lifestyle subscription box that sends 4 or more natural and organic products for you to fall in love with each month. This isn't a beauty subscription. Kloverbox sends products from all categories: beauty, health, food and home products, so you can incorporate more natural products into every aspect of your life!

How Does It Work?
On the Kloverbox site, you can choose a 1, 3 or 6 month subscription. The one month and 3 month subscriptions automatically renew, which means you will be billed again once that cycle is over (monthly, or every 3 months.) The 6 month subscription is a one-time purchase; Meaning you will not be billed again once the 6 month subscription is over. This is a great option to gift to friends and family because you won't have to remember to cancel the subscription. The longer the subscription you choose, the more of a discount you get, which is also awesome!
Another really great thing about Kloverbox is that they usually include a coupon code on the information card for each product for that month. So if you really fall in love with something from your box, you'll be able to get more at a fantastic discount.

How Much?
A month-to-month subscription to Kloverbox is $25 per box.
3 month subscription is $71.25 ($23.75 per box)
6 month subscription is $135 ($22.50) per box.

One Love Organics: Skin Savior- Multitasking Wonder Balm ($49)
I was first introduced to this brand through PopSugar- as they included the Gardenia+Tea Body Serum in one of their boxes back in April. It was a big hit with a lot of subscribers, including me, so I was thrilled to see this brand again!
This time, we've received something called the "Skin Savior" which is a multi-tasting miracle product, it seems! From the description, I'm assuming this can be used as a sort of cleansing balm as it removes dirt and makeup without stripping the skin. It also moisturizes, illuminates the skin. It's made with with organic coconut oil, mango butter, jojoba and chia. It has a really lovely citrus-vanilla scent. This balm has some seriously stellar reviews, so I'm really interested to give it a shot!
Not only is this a full size product, but it retails at a whopping $49! I am incredibly happy to get such a great value right of the bat with Kloverbox, but I was secretly hoping I wouldn't be totally in love with this product because that is way out of my price range! Luckily, Kloverbox included a coupon code to save 20% off (psst- it's KLOVER20) on the One Love Organics Website!

Paddywax: Apothecary Collection Soy Wax Candle in "Chamomile and Fig" ($5)
CANDLE!! Seriously, nothing excites me more than a candle in a subscription box. We get a LOT of beauty products in subscriptions, and my other love/obsession is definitely candles. What is even more exciting, is that Paddywax is by far my favorite candle company. I absolutely love their unique scents and the lovely packaging. If you're a candle lover, you absolutely have to visit their website and see how amazing they are!
I believe there were a few different scents that were put into the boxes this month, and I received Chamomile and Fig. I am familiar with the Apothecary collection- I own the Tobacco and Patchouli scent as well as the Amber and Smoke scents in full size jars. This one has a very simplistic and gentle scent that I absolutely love. It's perfect for the bedroom- the calming scent of chamomile with the slight tang of the fig is just awesome. I really hope to see Paddywax again in future Kloverboxes! The more, the better!

Posh Skincare: Bergamot Facial Oil ($20)
Another full size skincare product? Heck yes! I could kiss you, Kloverbox! Even though this beautiful bottle of facial oil looks like it's from a high-end boutique, it's actually from an etsy store called Posh Skincare. Not only does this facial oil smell absolutely amazing, but it is incredibly light in texture. It's made with cold-pressed, organic and unrefined oils (Organic Unrefined Virgin Cold-pressed Golden Jojoba Oil, Organic Unrefined Cold-pressed Rosehip Seed Oil, Bergamot Essential Oil) that work to even out your skin tone and help with hyper pigmentation while correcting UV damage. What's great about this company is that all their products are made to order- nothing more fresh than that!
I've been really wanting to incorporate a facial oil into my routine now that the colder weather is coming. I find it hard sometimes in the summer as they don't always absorb as quickly as I would like them to, but this is the perfect time of year to get this! I'm really excited to add this one into my routine!

Baggu: Baby Baggu in "Elephant Jade" Print ($7)
First of all, hooray for lifestyle items! Second of all, can we actually talk about how adorable this print is?? I love it so much! Baggu is a great brand that makes lots of different bags with a variety of prints out of ripstop nylon, and they are guaranteed to last a year- although many of the baggu bags I have are far older than that! This one is a smaller bag (4x4) and can hold up to 50 pounds. This one is perfect to throw in your purse so you have it on hand for a quick shopping trip, but I intend on using it as my lunch bag for work since the handle on my old one just broke!
Overall Thoughts
Kloverbox costs $25 a month (or less with a longer subscription!) and the September box has a total value of $81! That's an insane value for a $25 subscription! Not only is the value great this month, but the curation was just SO on point! I'm usually one of those "the more the better" people when it comes to products in subscriptions, but lately I've really been craving some really quality full size products or larger sized samples- and Kloverbox has really been delivering for me! Each product featured this month is something I will 100% use and love, which is not something that happens often with me and subscription contents. I think it was a great mix of beauty and lifestyle, and a great variety of well known and new brands. I can't say a single bad thing about this month! Kloverbox remains one of my all-time favorite subscriptions for a good reason!

If you want to sign up for Kloverbox (and why wouldn't you??) You can do that here!
Don't forget to use HB10 at checkout to save 10% off any length subscription!

Love With Food: September 2015 Review and Unboxing (Plus 40% off!)

If you're looking for an affordable snack box that not only gives you a wide variety of snacks, but a large quantity of them- then Love with Food is the snack subscription for you. I've been getting the Deluxe boxes for the better part of 2015, and there has yet to be a box I was disappointed with. My fiance and I both love digging through these boxes and trying everything together. It's kind of a lame little bonding time for us each month! We're easily entertained by food!

The Deets
Love with Food is a $10 a month (+$2 shipping) subscription box that features 8+ organic and/or all natural snacks delivered to you monthly. For every box sold, they donate a meal to a food bank in an effort to support the end of child hunger. I think it's an absolutely wonderful cause and makes me feel good about subscribing to them!
Love with Food also offers a Deluxe Box which is the one I will be reviewing this month. The deluxe boxes cost $19.95 per month (free shipping) and features 16-20 snacks. It seems like the deluxe boxes are double the amount you get in the regular box, plus a few extra goodies.
They also have a Gluten Free box available for anyone that might be interested!
.
The theme this month was "Smarty Pants"
It's that time of year again, when everyone's buckling down for a new school year and in need of some serious brain food. The September box has you covered, so get cracking on snacking! And while you're savoring that gift of knowledge, be proud to know that every Love with Food box helps fight hunger. Extra credit, anyone?
The Daily Crave: Veggie Chips
These are made with nothing but vegetable powders (potato, tomato, spinach, beets), flour, safflower oil and salt. No fillers or weird ingredients here! I brought these to work with me this week and oh my gosh they are delicious! They taste like your standard baked potato chip, but I have to admit I felt like I was being "healthier" by eating "veggie chips." Call me brainwashed! They were still super good though- I would definitely buy these again!

Route 11 Potato Chips
These potato chips are all natural, contain no trans fats wheat or gluten and come in a variety of flavors. We received the original/lightly salted as well as the dill pickle flavor. Since I had laid claim to the veggie chips, I gave these to my fiance and our roommate. They both seemed to enjoy them, although as someone who isn't a big fan of pickles, I can't imagine a potato chip flavored like one would be too appetizing for me, personally!
Snack Factory: Mini Pretzel Crisps
These are gluten free pretzel crisps that are perfect to throw in your bag with a cup of hummus. Which is exactly what I did for lunch this week! There's not a whole lot to talk about here considering, well, they're pretzels...but if you're looking for a gluten free, tasty snack, these are a good option!

Bear Naked: Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola
My fiance snatched these out of the box so quickly I almost didn't even notice they were in there! I had to pry them out of his hands so I could take a picture! He's a huge fan of anything that "tastes like Fall" as he would put it. Unfortunately, he wasn't that thrilled about the flavor of this granola. He said: "It doesn't taste bad...it's just not that good either. It kind of tastes like a candle." That made me not-so-interested in trying the unopened bag, but I might sprinkle it on top of some oatmeal and give it a shot at some point soon!
GoGo Squeez: Apple Pineapple Applesauce
These little applesauce packs have been around for quite awhile, and I've tried my fair share of them- but never the pineapple one flavor! These are perfect to toss in your lunch bag for a healthy snack, and I think that this one may very well be my favorite flavor yet! The pineapple is subtle, but noticeable, and really just makes the flavor more exciting, in my opinion! Definitely something I'll be picking up next time I'm at the grocery store!

YumEarth Organics: Fruit Snacks
My fiance loves fruit snacks. He's forever a kid at heart! I like that these particular ones are made with real fruit juice and have interesting flavors like banana and peach- which aren't really flavors you often find in most fruit snacks! We both really enjoyed these- they have a sweet flavor but it's not overwhelming!

Jimmybar: Mini Peanut Butter Clutter Bar
I have actually tried a full size version of this bar in the past when I received it in a Pijon Box-although I never got around to reviewing it! This bar is interesting- it has a pretty good flavor for a 'health bar' as I like to call them, but I don't find that it's peanutbuttery enough for my liking. It's a bit on the bland side. Definitely not bad, just not anything exciting or something I'd look to repurchase.
Harvest Snaps: Lightly Salted Snap Pea Crisps
OK- Snapea Crisps are literally one of my all-time favorite snacks. These were featured in a PopSugar box quite awhile ago in the Ceasar flavor, and I was immediately addicted to them! They have a very light, airy crisp to them- similar to that of a cheese puff. The flavor is there, but it's light enough that you're not bombarded with saltiness. There are so many varieties of these, too! I highly recommend grabbing these if you find them in your local store. I have found them at my local Walmart in the front where the nuts and dried fruits are for only $1.50 per large bag. Happy to see them in the box this month!

Funley's Delicious: Cheddar N' Stuff Super Crackers
These are cheese crackers that also contain vitamin D and calcium! I think that's pretty cool, although I have to admit I wasn't a huge fan of these. I was hoping they'd taste a bit like cheddar goldfish, and while they seem like kids would probably enjoy them, I thought the flavor was a bit bland and the crackers had a bit of a stale flavor/consistency.

Smarty Pants Adult/Child Gummy Vitamins
What's a "Smarty Pants" themed box without these gummy vitamins, right? These are your standard multivitamins for adults and children, only they look and taste like soft gumdrops. They're coated in a layer of sugar, which honestly makes no sense to me. They're very sweet on their own, so why add unneeded sugar to them? While these were definitely yummy, I think I'll stick to my less expensive, less sugary adult gummy vitamins!
While this isn't a snack, it was included as a promotional bonus in the box so I thought I would mention it! Schoola is a company that sells gently used children's clothing at a discounted price so that everyone can afford back to school clothes! Included is a large bag for you to stick your donated clothing into (with free shipping) and send it to schoola.com. $2 of every $5 made on their website is donated to support kids' programs. I think it's a great cause! Although I don't have any children's clothing to donate, I'll be passing this on to a friend!
Overall Thoughts
Yet again, Love With Food delivers what they always do: variety and quantity! I love that the snacks are healthy/healthier, and they never ever skimp on how much they give you! Many times in the Deluxe box there are multiple packages of snacks so my fiance and I can easily share them between us. I feel like there aren't many other boxes out there that provide this many snacks for the price, and they manage to constantly give something new and different month after month. There were a few things in here that I didn't love, but overall this was a really successful box for me!
