Beauteque BB Bag March 2016 Review and Unboxing

Ahh March. One of my favorite months of the year, not only because it's my Birthday, but also because...well, OK just because it's my Birthday! I turned a whopping 31 this year, and I'm still trying to process that I'm out of my 20's. Since I work with a lot of younger people, I'm in college, my boyfriend is younger than me etc., my brain tends to make believe that I am a lot younger than I am. I'm hoping my obsession with Korean skincare will keep me looking a lot younger than I am too!

This month's Beauteque BB Bag was filled with kbeauty goodies as usual, to the theme of "Moisturizing Mix and More." Alrighty.
Moisturized skin is the foundation to youthful, refreshed looking skin. Hydration can help skin feel and appear firmer and more radiant. To help your precious skin recover from a long winter and prepare for fun in the sun that is soon to come, we present the Moisture Madness Bag. Luxurious skin and eye creams among other products will keep your skin hydrated, happy and glowing.

From that description, I am hoping to see loads of moisturizing skincare goodies. Bring it on!

Now that we've got the details out of the way, let's get onto the March Bag!

Mizon: Snail Repair Eye Cream ($12.99)
I swear I have received this product in a past Beauteque bag of some sort, although it's possible it wasn't a BB Bag. I also tend to confuse a lot of the past kbeauty subscriptions I've received over the years though, so I could be wrong. Regardless, I actually just finished a tube of this eye cream and it took me a very, very long time to get through. It contains snail mucin, adenosine, peptides and EGF which work together to offer anti-aging benefits and promote skin regeneration while fighting the appearance of dark circles. Since I've used an entire tube of this I can form a pretty clear stance on this one: it's decent. I don't think it blew me away or that the skin around my eye area was magically transformed, but it did help keep my skin moisturized and soft, while also minimizing the appearance of the fine lines by my eyes. I'll hang out to his and most likely use it again in the future.

Ladykin: Glow Lipstick ($8.50)
I love Ladykin and I love lipsticks, but this shade just isn't doing it for me. It's a lot less coral/orange than I expected it to be, but it still washes me out so it's going in the give away bin. I actually quite like the formula as it feels very moisturizing and pigmented. It's buildable in that you can make it natural-looking or more intense color-wise. I'm pleased with the lipstick itself I just wish it was in a more wearable shade for me!

Cosrx: Acne Pimple Master Patch ($4.80)
I don't feel like this product goes with the moisturizing theme, however this is probably something that I repurchase more than any other skincare item in my entire routine/collection. There are 24 patches in 3 different sizes in this pouch, and if you have a zit, nothing works better to get rid of it. I have used these on cystic acne that hasn't reached a head and it has cut down the time that they're there. I have used these on ingrown hairs as well. These tend to work best on soon-to-be whiteheads, or freshly popped zits as it will continue to draw out all the bad stuff and flatten out the bumps. They're truly a miracle product and while there are a lot of these acne patches on the market, I have yet to find a single one that comes close to how well these work.

Egg Brush Cleaner ($8)
Also not entirely sure how this is relevant to the moisturizing theme, but I am all about this little guy! Essentially this grooved pieces of rubber is used to rub your makeup brushes on and it helps agitate the dirt, oil and makeup out of the brush. It works really well as I've already tested it out myself! I love how small and portable it is too! While it doesn't really fit the theme, it's a really helpful little tool!

The Face Shop: Fresh Milk Cream ($15)
I love getting a gigantic jar of moisturizing cream in a hydration-themed bag! This one contains daegwallyong milk extract which brightens, smooths and moisturizes the skin. You can use this product on the body or on the facial skin, although I think I'd probably keep this one for my skin alone. I've got more than enough facial moisturizers!

Urban Dollkiss Velvety Skin BB Ceam Mini ($12)
For some strange reason, I cannot get this photo to upload to this post, however you can see a peek of this mini BB cream in the final shot below. I am absolutely blown away by the $12 price tag on something that is seemingly a deluxe sample from a company that normally makes affordable products...so that is something I do feel like I should look into in terms of value. Having said that, I absolutely love trying new BB creams because I'm always trying to find one that has full coverage while not being too heavy or obvious on the skin. Skin79 is decent but I still haven't found the perfect formula! Hopefully this one will be!
Overall Thoughts
Beauteque Monthly costs $24 (plus shipping) and this bag as a Beauteque Value of about $61. While that inlcudes the iffy-priced BB cream sample, it still works out to be a really great value for all these items! I'm nto sure about some of the choices that were made for a bag that was supposed to be all about hydration etc, but I think the items that didn't necessarily fit the theme made the bag a lot more interesting in the end! Not my favorite bag from Beauteque, but definitely included quite a few products I'm excited to try out!
