Kloverbox March 2016 Review and Unboxing

Even though it might seem silly, I always expect better boxes from subscription companies in March. It's my birthday month, and for some reason whenever it comes around I hope and pray the boxes somehow match me perfectly and feel like little gifts to myself! I have rarely, if ever, been disappointed with my Kloverboxes though, so I had a feeling I was going to be very pleased with this month's selection!

What is Kloverbox?
Kloverbox is a lifestyle subscription box that sends 4 or more natural and organic products for you to fall in love with each month. This isn't a beauty subscription. Kloverbox sends products from all categories: beauty, health, food and home products, so you can incorporate more natural products into every aspect of your life!

How Does It Work?
On the Kloverbox site, you can choose a 1, 3 or 6 month subscription. The one month and 3 month subscriptions automatically renew, which means you will be billed again once that cycle is over (monthly, or every 3 months.) The 6 month subscription is a one-time purchase; Meaning you will not be billed again once the 6 month subscription is over. This is a great option to gift to friends and family because you won't have to remember to cancel the subscription. The longer the subscription you choose, the more of a discount you get, which is also awesome!
Another really great thing about Kloverbox is that they usually include a coupon code on the information card for each product for that month. So if you really fall in love with something from your box, you'll be able to get more at a fantastic discount.

How Much?
A month-to-month subscription to Kloverbox is $25 per box.
3 month subscription is $71.25 ($23.75 per box)
6 month subscription is $135 ($22.50) per box.

So let's get right into the goodies this month!

Buckaroo Organics: Soapberry Suds Organic Laundry Detergent ($9.95)
I absolutely love getting lifestyle products in Kloverbox because I'm always trying to make more green choices not only with beauty products, but around my home as well. I believe early last year Kloverbox included an organic laundry detergent and I absolutely loved it! While I'm always partial to the fresh scents that regular detergents give, I know that they can be filled with chemicals and also irritating to the skin. This one is an organic powder detergent (and comes with a measuring scoop) that is made with 100% organic soapberries. What's really neat about this detergent is that it not only cleans naturally, but it contains natural fabric softening capabilities. It's non toxic, hypoallergenic, dye, chemical, sulfate and phosphate free! I actually had a load of laundry to do on the day that I got my Kloverbox, so I went ahead and gave this stuff a shot. I absolutely loved it! I have one very small issue with it (which may not be the fault of the detergent at all btw) but one of my less expensive t-shirts had the logo start peeling off when I removed it from the wash. Now this very well could have been because it's an old, cheaply made shirt...but I might avoid washing printed t-shirts with this detergent. Otherwise, my clothes felt clean and soft!

Vana Body: Coconut Clay mask ($21)
There was a time when I would stick my nose up at powder masks, mostly because I felt like they were "too much work" to use. However lately I've been using some of the ones that have been hanging around in my stash and I've gotta say, they feel like you're giving yourself an expensive facial! Very pampering! This particular mask is the lone beauty product this month, and it comes from Vana Body. They use only vegan, organic, cold-pressed virgin oils, botanicals and clays for their products. This coconut clay mask has very few ingredients, but just enough to make it naturally potent. It helps treat acne, wrinkles and inflammitory issues. To use powder masks, you simply mix a small amount with water or your choice of liquid and apply. Make sure to only add a small amount of liquid at a time, because in my experience, a little goes a long way and you don't want to make the mask too watery or it won't stick well to your skin!

Paddywax: Blue Apothecary Collection Candle in "Fresh Meyer Lemon" ($5)
Not only do I have a major obsession with candles, but Paddywax just so happens to be one of my all-time favorite candle companies. While this particular candle is just a small sample, you absolutely must check out their beautiful packaging, unique variety of scents and overall appealing aesthetic. I cannot stop myself when I look at their products- I always have to buy something! All Paddywax candles are hand poured, fragrance infused soy wax blended candles, and this particular collection includes scents that evoke balance and relaxation. I'm usually partial to warmer, gourmand scents but this meyer lemon is really bright and delicious! It's definitely a scent that gets me in the mood for Spring!

Inkcredible Imagine, Bagito and Kloverbox: Reusable Shopping Bag ($7.50)
Kloverbox teamed up with Inkcredible Image, who are an environmentally friendly screen printing company as well as Bagito who is known for their eco-friendly bags. They created this really fun shopping bag out of 25 plastic bottles! Is that cool or what? These bags also can conveniently hold 25 pounds, which is awesome for the farmers market or running out to the store. I love that there's a little clip attached as well so you can hook this on your keys or purse with ease. Check out how cute the logo is too!
I totally dig it! I'm excited to hook this onto my bag when I go to the farmer's market in the Spring!
Overall Thoughts
Kloverbox costs $25 per month (less when you purchase a longer subscription!) and the December box has a total value of just over $43. I am absolutely thrilled with the March Kloverbox, especially because it's heavy on the lifestyle products, as many of you know I love! Also...I got a candle! Scoreeee. I think this was beautifully curated and contains lots of useful and eco-friendly products for not only your skin, but for lots of other places in your home and life. Another home run for Kloverbox!
